I get to meet and photograph some rather lovely people during the course of my work. Jenny + Rob are two such people and I can’t tell you how delighted I was to be asked to photograph their Lake District wedding this summer. The ceremony was held at St Catherine’s Church in Penrith followed by a reception at Askham Hall. It was only my second visit to the venue but I enjoyed it so much I took my wife and daughter back the following week to have a look around. It is apparently a 12th century country house set in 40 acres of gardens, perfect for portraits of the bride and groom.
After the wedding breakfast, the best men broke the record for the longest speeches ever and it was time for some live music and a dance. I think even I managed a few moves while taking pictures.
Many thanks to Jenny + Rob for being such wonderful models and hosting such a beautiful wedding. My best wishes to you both x
A big shout out to hair stylist Katie Simpson, who did such a fantastic job making the bridal party look even more stunning. You can find Katie here: http://www.katiesimpsonhair.co.uk
