Dear Uncle Andy + Auntie Mel,
thank you for inviting me to your wedding and asking me to be your flowergirl. I had a wonderful day and it was nice to see lots of people I already know and meet some new ones too. I didn’t even cry when I saw ‘Bramfit’ this time. I think it was because he arrived in a car and not a big noisy yellow helicopter. I was a little bit scared at first of Todd, Scott and that tall man called Pete but I soon realised they are very funny, especially when they do that strange type of dancing. Mummy said she hasn’t seen Nanny and Grandad Apple or Uncle James look so smart or so proud. Auntie Mel’s family and friends were all lovely to me, especially Claire, Belinda, Noemi, Max, Bernard, Margaret, David and Amanda.
Daddy said you couldn’t have chosen a better venue than the Nuthurst Grange Country House Hotel. The garden was beautiful and our room was fab. Daddy said the food was superb too. He should know, he’s had plenty!
I was looking forward to your wedding so much. I didn’t understand what Mummy and Daddy meant when they said I would be ‘having a lesson in how to party’ but I do now. We are all sad that you’ve gone back to Dubai and can’t wait to see you again soon.
Lots of love, Alice (aged 5) xxx
