When you plan your summer wedding you naturally assume you will wake up on a warm sunny day and it will be like that until your head hits the pillow. I can speak from experience that it is not always the case! When my wife and I married in August 7 years ago we had thick fog and heavy showers all day! Louise + Steven got married at Lowick Church recently, followed by a marquee reception in Louise’s Grandparents field at Water Yeat. They had fairly similar weather to us but they also found out it makes little difference to the enjoyment of the day. In fact, I would go as far as saying it enhanced the day and gave me some great picture opportunities.
The bride and groom, their families and friends had one intention on the day and that was to enjoy themselves – and they did! There was a let up in the rain late in the afternoon so we made the most of it and went to the bridge where Louise accepted Steven’s proposal. The showers came again – just in time for the speeches and the meal – but then the sun came out again as their evening guests arrived.
A big thanks to Charlotte and the team from Karen Rhodes Weddings, Catering and Events and also to The Hope Street Busking Band from Liverpool. An even bigger thank you though to Louise + Steven, you were absolutely ace x
