Danielle + Adam were married at The Merewood Hotel, Windermere. As I arrived at the venue I was quickly spotted by the bride from her room as I took a shot of the building. If you look closely at the second picture down you can see her in the centre window waving. Everyone was very excited, one or two nerves and a very emotional Mum! Many years ago I photographed Danielle’s parents wedding so it was rather special to record their daughter’s big day too! Adam and the groomsmen were also getting ready at the hotel so I was able to pay them a visit. It was all light hearted until it was time to meet the registrar. After a lovely ceremony we were able to enjoy some of the chilly but sunny weather we’ve experienced of late and the panoramic views from The Merewood Hotel. Everyone sat down at 4pm to listen to the hilarious (and emotional) speeches before the wedding breakfast. I love live music and the evening kicked off with Cumbria band The Hoovers. I had a lot of fun shooting this wedding. It had all the elements for a memorable day, great people, great venue and great weather and plenty of emotion!
