Your wedding day will be full of emotion from laughter and tears to anticipation, relief, pride, surprise, and of course love. Weddings bring people together who may not have seen each other for many years but they are also about celebrating the relationships with the people we see every day. It is the story about one day in your life that you will not want to forget and the best way to remember is through photography.
My style came about when I became disillusioned with lists of stage managed group shots and felt the best wedding pictures were being missed. Spontaneity cannot be created so I usually shoot alone using two small but very high quality cameras so I can work quickly, quietly and unobtrusively. I prefer to use ambient light rather than flash and, even after spending three hours a day for 10 years in a darkroom, I still love black & white photography.
Every client will be presented with a beautiful album recording the real-time events throughout the most important day of your life. Those special moments you share together with the people you care most about. Formal group shots, although important, are kept to a minimum and then I like to spend some private time with just the Bride & Groom to get some creative portraits. It may be by a lake, beside some stunning architecture, in a forest or in the middle of a busy street. You only get one chance to capture those extra special signature shots and spend a few private minutes together before returning to your guests.
I undertake a limited number of wedding commissions each year so please get in touch if you want to know more about availability, prices or if you just want an informal chat.
