Claire + Oli were married at the magnificent Stanbrook Abbey in Worcestershire on a very sunny (and hot) day in May this year. I met Claire + Oli almost exactly 2 years to the day when Claire was bridesmaid at my sister-in-law and brother-in-law’s wonderful wedding in the midlands. I was so pleased and honoured when they asked me to record their special day and I got to meet up with many of the same guests who made it such an enjoyable day once again.
There’s no doubt that Claire + Oli were made from each other, in fact I’m not sure if I have ever met a more romantic couple! It was a very happy and sometimes emotional day with the ceremony taking place in the chapel within the Abbey. Guests then enjoyed a drink reception in the scorching sun while we went off to photograph some portraits in the gardens and incredible cloisters.
The speeches were held before the wedding breakfast was served and I can tell you there wasn’t a dry eye in the house. I have to mention Oli’s brother Matt who gave one of the most moving speeches I have ever witnessed. Matt, I salute you.
Before the evening reception we had a few minutes to grab a some extra portrait shots while the sun was low in the sky and then it was time for some dancing. I was particularly looking forward to seeing my brother-in-law Andy’s amazing moves and he never let me down.
To Claire + Oli, thank you so very much for asking me to be part of your day. You, your family and your friends just know how to celebrate in style. It was quite simply brilliant and a privilege to be there xxx
