Elizabeth + David were married at The Samling in September. It was a lovely family wedding with Liz’s Uncle Brian even flying in from his home in South Africa to surprise his siblings who hadn’t seen him for a number of years. Before the ceremony everyone enjoyed afternoon tea while Liz and Dave got ready. Afterwards they all mingled on the terrace and enjoyed the lake views looking down Windermere. I disappeared off with the newlyweds to take some portraits in the gardens and then it was time for the couple and their guests to sit down to an incredible five-course meal in the Michelin Star restaurant. I had the great honour of being invited into the kitchen to see the amazing staff at work and take a few pictures. Stuart, the bride’s father, gave a lovely speech as did the groom before they cut their cake and had their first dance. As I left, I stopped to take in that view one last time. Liz and Dave are clearly very organised and have already ordered their wedding album. In fact they’ll have it in about 3 weeks time. I can’t wait to see it!
I’d like to say a big thank you to Elizabeth, David, their families and the staff at The Samling who all made me very welcome.
